Do not burn the crust. I am a vegetarian. I did not use egg wash on the pie top, instead when the pie came out of the oven, I brushed the crust with honey. sprinkled sugar on the top. Let it cool at room temperature for an hour or so before serving. Always taste before serving. Serve with ice cream.
