  8. 1 Apple (peeled, cored & thinly sliced)
  9. 1/8 tsp cinnamon powder
  10. 1/8 tsp grated nutmeg
  11. 1 Tbsp wheat flour
  12. 1 Tbsp Sugar
  13. 1 tsp butter cut in small pieces or few drop of sunflower oil
  14. 1 tsp soy milk for glazing
  15. For Sprinkling:-
  16. 1-2 pinch of cinnamon powder
  17. 1-2 pinch sugar

Instructions to make Homemade Apple Pie

  1. Apple pie filling:-
    Peel an apple, core and slice it. Mix cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar and wheat flour in apple slices. Use a spoon to combine well, so that all the apple slices are coated.
  2. To make Pie Crust: -
    Sieve and mix - wheat flour, maida and salt. Add oil to the dough and combine evenly to get breadcrumb consistency Pour water into portions and combine everything to make a dough.
    Preheat your oven at 180 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Grease your pie pan with oil or butter.
  3. Divide the dough into two or four equal parts depending on the size of your pie pan. Take a one part of dough and dust some wheat flour on working surface. Roll it into about 1/4 inch thick layer. Place the layer gently on the greased pan and press it towards the bottom and the sides.
  4. Put Apple's mixture on it. Then on the top of the mixture, add few small pieces of butter or few drops of oils. It will keep the fruit juices from bubbling up and over the crust, while the pie is baking.
  5. For second rolled pie crust.
    After rolling, cut strips to create lattice design and lay them over the pie.
    Cover the pie pan with the second rolled pie crust. Fold the top and bottom edges of the top crust.
    Glaze with soy milk over pie crust. Sprinkle a bit sugar and cinnamon powder over pie crust.
  6. Bake the apple pie in a pre heated oven at 180 degrees celsius for 45 to 60 mins, until the crust is golden.
    For baking on the stovetop:-
    Take a pan. Spread a little salt on the bottom. Place the stand inside the pan. Then put a plate on stand. Heat the pan over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Place the pie pan on plate in a preheated pan. Close the lid and bake on low heat for 50-60 minutes or until golden brown.
    (Keep an eye on it, and remove before Apple Pie burns down.)
  8. Serve the apple pie warm or at room temperature.
