- 2 tablespoons fresh milk
- 1 egg white

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1+1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
- 3 tablespoons soft butter
- For the filling
- 2 fresh red apple
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1+1/2 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- For brushing the pie
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon milk
Steps to make Apple Pie Cones
- Place yogurt, milk, egg white, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl and whisk together. Set aside.


- In another bowl mix together flour and baking powder.

- Now add in the dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Mix well with a spoon. You will get a crumbly loose dough.

- Add in soft butter and stir to combine well.

- With your hand fold together to make a soft and smooth dough. No need to knead the dough for a long time.


- Cover and set aside for an hour.
- Wash, peel, and grate apples.


- Add in 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and mix.

- Heat a pan with 1 tablespoon of butter.

- Add in brown sugar and honey. Stir well to mix.

- Now add in the grated apple and stir nicely to make a homogeneous mixture.

- Cook in medium heat until liquid evaporates.

- Add in cinnamon powder and mix.

- Remove from heat. Set aside to cool.
- Take out the dough on a working surface and divide it into 6 equal portions.

- Fold each portion to make round patties.

- Again rest the dough for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes take out a patty and roll to make a round disk just like paratha.

- Slit the disk from center to the edge. Place 1 tablespoon of the apple mixture at the edge of the slit.

- Fold it with the stuffing to make a cone shape.



- Stick the edges of the broad side of the cone with your fingertips. It will give a nice cone shape.

- Place it on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

- Preheat oven at 200 degrees C for 10 minutes.
- Make a thick mixture with 1 egg yolk and a teaspoon of milk.

- Brush the top of each pie with the mixture. This will give a nice color to the pie.

- Bake them in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until nicely golden brown.

- Delicious and flavourful apple pie cones are ready.

- Note: during halfway of baking I switched off the upper rod of my oven and turned the tray for even baking.
