  2. Put the 1/2 cup of oil in a cooking pan/sufuria and heat until hot then add your chopped onions until golden brown(this is the main step for the brown color of pilau and not pilau masala)
  3. Add your 1tbsp of ginger and garlic paste and stir, then cover for a about 2min
  4. Add the whole spices including the little water that you had soaked them in. Stir and cover for about 3min.
  5. Add your 1/2kg of pre-boiled beef, stir and cover for about 10minutes for the beef to absorb the spices well.
  6. Add your 2 cups of rice and stir
  7. Lastly add your 4 cups of water, stir and cover. Let it simmer on low heat for about 30min or until your rice is well cooked
  8. Your pilau is ready for serving
  9. For the coleslaw, these are the ingredients
  10. Chop your onion into thin slices then soak in salty water (to remove the bitter taste) as you prepare the rest of the ingredients
  11. Chop your green pepper
  12. Grate your carrots
  13. Add the vegetables I.e., cabbage, carrots, green pepper and onions in a bowl and mix
  14. Add 2-3 tbps of mayonnaise or to your liking, add a tsp of black/white pepper, add salt and mix together (if prepared early, you can put in the fridge to cool a bit before serving)
  15. Your meal is ready for serving. You can serve with a glass of juice/water or any drink of your choice. Enjoy
